So...I have a copy of the new CD from Rihanna and I am not ready to do a full evaluation of her CD - however I will say after a few half hearted listens I am not all that impressed (sigh-I expected a lot more after all the hype). There was only one song that has caught my attention immediately and that is Te Amo (I love you in spanish). The thing is the beat and the music gets me that everytime I listen the only words I hear are the infectious repetitive Te Amo. Ok so she is talking bout she love someone or someone loving her - no big deal. Welp lol I was talking to a friend about it and told them I really hadn't listened to the lyrics yet because the music arrangement (latin, regge, r&b feel) was somewhat hypnotic lol - but I knew I needed to listen when I heard her say something about Te amo she said to me. WAIT.. rewind!! -----> She said? Yes She said.. Well I dug a little further and it seems the song is stirring up some controversy. Ehh- s'ok I was thinking this might mean something ..until I found out she doesn't write her music...any of it #FAIL. Don't get me wrong I know there are lot of artists that use other people's words..but at some point I am going to need you to express yourself.. just my thoughts. Now that I know that Ri-Ri has not wrote any of the music on her album..or any of them----it kinda takes the validity of it away. Like when we all first heard Russian Roulette - thought wow...she is going through it.. po'thing. But umm Neyo wrote that...nice song Neyo.Well listen to the song below and tell me what you think...if you think anything.

Ok so I listen to it twice and It sounds like maybe a girl was in love with her! (but I don't feel that way) Is what she says. I think she told this writer a story about what may have happened to her on a crazy night out of partying and the writer, just took it from there!I feel you on the vailidty piece tho at some point, I do need these REAL ARTIST to come from their gusts from their bellys and come with it! Thats what REAL MUSIC is about! Just my take...good piece mealee
