Today would have been American Jazz legend Dizzy Gillespie's 93rd birthday! I got to meet him many many years ago and needless to say as a little girl fascinated by the way his cheeks would expand all I did was kept bugging him to make his cheeks blow up like a balloon lol. Like a wise and patient grandfather he gave into my requests. His music mesmerized me and I grew up listening to his music. He still lives on through his music!
