I will be going with some friends this evening to see the third movie in the Twilight Saga "Eclipse" tonight and I really can't wait. When the first movie came out I was a skeptic and refused to go see it. I ended up seeing it by accident at a friend's house when it came out on dvd. Ok so yeah instantly I was hookd [shrug] and saw New Moon immediately and now I am super excited with the new movie tonight seeing New Moon ended so cliff hangerish lol. NEW MUSIC VIDEO: B.O.B. - AIRPLANES

This video is pretty cool but I really like this song. One of the things I admire about B.O.B. is his collabs - his album is full of them and it adds something to his music, sorta like you are getting a 2fer (two for one). The video premeried on iTunes yesterday and has took some times due to B.O.B.'s and Hayley Williams' (she lends her vocal skills to the track) schedules but it's finally here and they did a great job! The song talks about the darker side of fame and the video effortlessly matches the tone of the song without making it too depressing. Watch the video and let us know what you think. Looks kinda interesting. I'm a sucker for a good father daughter story so I might have to go check this one out 12/22/10 when it is due to hit theaters.

SEX AND THE CITY 2 REVIEW

I feel somewhat the same way Shené does about the movie. I think it was cool and nice but just seemed like an extra long regular (ok) episode of SATC. The desitnations, the fashion wowed me but it was like maybe the tried too hard. I did like seeing the ladies still being their sexy selves as they are getting older - dealing with menopause, growing families, babies, not being the "perfect" mother and relationship lulls. I think the movie had some great points and moments, but I was not wowed by it as I was the first one. Hopefully they will let us just remember SATC as it has now ended and they won't keep making sequel after sequel. I still am a fan of it and love watching reruns and the original movie that is now showing all the time on HBO lol.

SHUT UP...RIGHT NOW.. My girl [should be your girl] EVERYONE'S GIRL Janelle Monae goes all the way in on the remix to her single Tight Rope - accompanied by Lupe Fiasco and B.O.B.. She proves time and time again she is classic, refined, fly, talented and flawless when it comes to her creativity! I can't just limit her and say "music" she has expanded, stretched and grown past just being musically gifted..she is *shrug* JM. There is nothing she hasn't put out that is not hautte! All of her albums are push play and just listen, learn and grow as your brain cells multiply from being exposed to her genius [true story]. She is so young, I can't wait to watch her continue to blossom and be the change that the music industry and the world needs.

SHONTELLE - IMPOSSIBLE - POSSIBLY A GREAT SONG

Many of you may know singer/songwriter Shontelle of Barbados for her single [T-shirt] off her first album [Shontelligence] in 2008. Her new album No Gravity is slated to be released August of this year and this single Impossible makes me want the record label to release it a little faster. IMPATIENT.

I saw the video yesterday (late I know..shrug) for the first time and I have been listening to it nonstop since. Kudos to her creative team. The song is wonderfully written and is very catchy. I found myself singing the hook while washing the dishes last night lol. As a singer/song writer I am sure that's what you want - your audience finding themselves singing your song and wanting to hear it frequently. This song has now become apart of my heavy rotation and I suggest you do the same - or at least give it a serious listen. The video was good too and made me enjoy the song even more. I  am sure many women and men have been through something like what Shontelle is singing about...these are several key reason I think that this song as all the key components of becoming a chart topper.

• beautifully talented singer
• great music track
• nice video with a concept that actually matches the lyrics
• song subject most of us can relate to

This is the kind of song that should be the lead single, it makes me want to hear the rest of her album!

NEW VIDEO - KELLY ROWLAND - COMMANDER

I am so happy to see Miss Rowland back on the scene! I think that her talent and is so underated and over shadowed due to her Destiny Child counterpart Mrs. Jigga. This video according to her website was leaked early but I think that could be actually good for her. It's the beginning of the summer new music is big right now, everyone is looking for the summer sound that they will blast through their speakers and iPods for the warm party season. Electronic and dance tunes are huge and I'm not mad at her for riding that wave with this new single. I do like it however I hope that Kelley's new music will be more than just this. I like the video concept but is it just me or does it kind of remind you of some of B's looks? I don't know maybe it's just me. I do think that Kelly is a great talent and that she can sing her butt off and can be a huge mega hit if given the right material to work with. Let's hope her creative team has given her what she deserves and allow her to shine all on her own. Let's get it Miss Rowland, I'll be routing for you!
