EARTH DAY

Earth day 2010

Today is the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Many communities use this day to promote eco-friendly practices and to clean up the local area.  

I remember in grade school when we all used to get a young tree to take home and plant. This year I didn't plant any trees, but I did help host the Earth Week 2010 at my university. We had events everyday to draw attention to the cause and to help fellow students understand the importance of small steps.

So I want to know, how did you celebrate Earth Day?
